Comfort starts with a conversation.
Pelvic health concerns can feel personal. Your physiotherapist will explain the assessment and discuss options with you. There is time to ask questions and share what you feel comfortable with.
Understanding internal assessment
An internal pelvic examination may be discussed when clinically appropriate. It is only performed with your informed consent. You can ask about alternatives, decline an examination or ask to stop at any time.
Your choices are part of care.
Your assessment, goals and preferences guide the plan. Ask about privacy, what an examination involves and anything you need to feel more comfortable before proceeding.
